Head of Middle Schools

Clayborn serves as Head of Middle Schools. Prior to this role, Clayborn served as Manager Director of School Operations where he was responsible for leadership coaching and support for all Director of Operations. He began his career at KIPP in 2020.

Clayborn began his career in education as a teacher in Gwinnett County Public Schools. He then became an Assistant Principal and Principal. He is a former Teacher of the Year and he was selected as Gifted Educator of the Year and Arts Educator of the Year during his tenure as principal for growing and promoting both the Gifted Program and Arts Integration in Education. After serving as Principal at the largest elementary school in GA, he was given the honor to open a brand-new elementary school. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor with Relay Graduate School of Education. He earned a B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education from The Florida State University and a Master of Arts Degree from Piedmont College. He obtained Leadership Credentials from The University of GA. Having an eye for instructional and academic excellence, he intends to focus on operational and instructional excellence that can lead to increased instructional and academic achievements throughout our region.
